Painted Myths is operated by PaintedApp, LLC, 1327 SE Tacoma St #394, Portland, OR 97202, which sells and ships every order. Write support@painted.app about anything in these terms.

Painted Myths sells finished fine art of the world's myths. The art is our own: painted with AI-assisted tools, directed by us, and grounded in the traditions each story was first told in. Commissioned pieces are rendered by an AI image model from the text you enter — you see the finished piece before you pay for a print of it.

Prints, canvases and frames are made to order by our print partners and shipped to the address you give at checkout. Digital purchases deliver a high-resolution file by download link, live for 30 days.

A purchase buys you the physical piece, or the file, for personal use: hang it, gift it, print a digital file for your own walls. It does not transfer copyright, and it does not license commercial use — no reselling prints or files, no merchandise, no stock libraries. Want a commercial arrangement? Every piece on this site, and every piece the studio paints for you, is made with AI image models. We direct, reject and choose the work, but a person did not paint it by hand, and two passes of the same words will not paint the same picture.

Text you enter must be yours to use and lawful. We screen every prompt and refuse renders that are hateful, sexual, violent or infringing. We may decline to print any render at our discretion, refunding anything paid for it.

Do not ask for a real, identifiable person (a celebrity, a public figure, anyone who has not agreed), for a brand, logo or trademark, or for a character that belongs to someone else's film, game or book. Nothing depicting a child in any sexual or violent way, ever. You must be 18 or older to buy, or buy with a parent or guardian.

Free previews carry a Painted Myths watermark. Removing it, or using a preview as if it were a purchased file, is not allowed.

The gallery's pieces, their compositions and this site are ours. For a piece the studio paints from your words, we keep the right to show it back to you and to print the one you order, and we give you whatever rights we hold in it for the personal use described above. The law on who owns AI-made images is unsettled and differs by country, so we do not promise that anyone holds a copyright in them.

Prices are shown at checkout and charged by Stripe. Production starts promptly after payment — that is what makes made-to-order art fast, and what makes cancellation a narrow window. Something wrong with an order? The refund policy says exactly what we do about it.

We describe every piece accurately and print on archival stock, but screens and paper differ: small colour variance between the image on your screen and the ink on your wall is the nature of printing, not a defect. Beyond replacing or refunding an order that went wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid for it, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the consumer law where you live.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the terms in force when you ordered govern that order.
